Do you have a group of students who are about to depart your school and want to leave a mark? What do your students feel is an important lesson they learned in this school that they want to pass on and share with others? This is an opportunity for students to brainstorm and invoke imagery that conveys their priorities and values to incoming students.
Learn a bit more about your culture or another culture. I would love to help kids make connections to the local historical arts or the arts of other nations and how we all relate. Using information gathered in my travels and teaching around the world, as well as your own local elders and experts, lets talk about art and people. What can art do for us and our understanding of the present world and the past? What can we learn about ourselves and from others? How do we overlap and how are we unique?
Gathering Experiences, Making Meaning
Art is more than making. It is collaboration, creative problem solving, cross curricular, flexible thinking, contribution and connection. If you would like to enrich the experiences of your students in a new direction with a skilled guide, please check out the sub tab choices for Artist in Schools.
